Library

Each student will have a library class every 6 school days. Students have a folder in the library. In that folder will be a tracking sheet for each quarter. On each visit, students will write down what book they are currently reading for pleasure and how they spent their time in class i.e. homework, reading or visiting with friends. The students will be assigned a number of points to earn each quarter by taking quizzes using the Accelerated Reader Program on the books they have read. Each student is asked to read and take a quiz on 1 non-fiction book. Students are expected to do at least 30 minutes of outside reading each day. At the end of the quarter a percentage of points earned will be given to Mrs. Barnosky and Mrs. Woods.
